Typical dehesa with cork-oak trees and grazing cattle. The more flowers, the intenser the grazing. The best 'klooispots' are with low grazing intensity and along the demarcation walls.

Bedriage's skink. Widespread all over the Iberian peninsula, but we never found them in
big numbers. Note the reddish nosetip.

Semana Santa-processions in Aracena (like in many other places) 'Nazareos' with 'capirotes' symbolyzing penitential wear.

These strange worm lizards (Blanus cinereus) bite when handled, but that doesn't hur at all. Look at the hard bony head. They can drill it into the soil. Ready to disappear

Male of the Bosca's newt. No dorsal crest, but a bright "golden" belly like many other newt-species have.

Sharp-ribbed newt, portrayed in resemblance to the prehistoric amphibians that were the first vertebrates able to leave the water.
